Dennis A. Toews

Dennis Alvin Toews of Tishomingo passed from this life on Friday May 13, 2016 at the age of 77 years, 9 months & 5 days at the Mercy Hospital in Ardmore. Dennis was born on August 08, 1938 in Saskatchewan, Canada to the late John Toews & Agnus "Nettie" (Fisher) Toews. At the age of 6 Dennis moved to United States of America and then became a Nationalized Citizen of our country. Dennis attended elementary school & graduated from high school in Kansas and then went on to The University of Oklahoma where he received his Masters Degree. Dennis moved to Tishomingo in 1968 coming from Elk City, OK. He work as Jr. College Administrator at Murray State College in Tishomingo. Dennis was of the Methodist faith & was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Tishomingo. Dennis was a hard worker. He was the guy working behind the scenes. He didnt want recognition for the things he did. He loved to cook, he was a great singer that didnt like to perform. You could say that Dennis was a quiet & reserved man. He was also the best friend you could ever have & he will be deeply missed by those that knew him.
