Sara Berry Current Services Funeral services for Sara Berry Ann Berry will be held on Friday at 11 AM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Ardmore with interment to follow in the Rosehill Cemetery in Ardmore. Sara Ann was born in Fillmore, OK to the late William Lamey & Frances (Stevenson) Lamey. Sara passed away on June 30, 2019 at the Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Sara attended elementary school in Fillmore and graduated from Tishomingo High School. She later went on to attend Murray State College and then Langston University. Sara married the love of her life, Robert Berry on September 24, 1956 a union that would last 62 wonderful years. From that union Sara was blessed with 2 sons & 1 step-daughter. Sara was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witness' in 1969 in Ada, OK and she attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Ardmore where she remained faithful until her death. During her lifetime Sara fulfilled many roles including a devoted mother, & grandmother. Sara was a hard working, talented, & active woman and had many hobbies, but her main interest was talking to people about God's word. Sara had a long working career, she worked 21 years for Langston University and Oklahoma State University in the Cooperative Extension Work. Sarah also worked for Woolsworth, Dollar General, National Seating, and assistant manager for Hancock Fabrics. Sara retired in 2010 after serving 8 years at IMTEC Corp. Sara leaves behind to forever cherish her memory: Husband: Robert Berry of the Home Son: Oliver Gaines & wife, Arleita Step-Daughter: Drucella Ann Sisters: OloMae Kemp Frances Benson Vera Clark Juanita Cheadle Esther Brooks Brother: William Lamey Jr. Grandsons: Craig Gaines Robert Gregory Gaines Granddaughters: Nakesia Willis Shantel Berry Sara also leaves behind numerous great and great-great grandchildren, and other family members & friends.
