Alton Reese Current Services Kingston- Loyd Reese was born Wednesday, September 25, 1929, in Kingston, Oklahoma to Commie Lee Reese and Jewel (Waterson) Reese. He passed from this life on Saturday, August 18, 2018, in Denison, Texas at the age of 88. Loyd lived in Kingston throughout his childhood and graduated from Kingston High School in 1947. He married the love of his life, Elizabeth Barwick August 5th, 1949 in Kingston. They moved to Denison, Texas after the birth of their daughter in 1950 where they lived, had a son, and raised their family then returned to Kingston in 1982. Loyd was last employed with Cole Construction in Denison where he was an operating engineer until his retirement in 1992. Loyd enjoyed camping with the family, calf roping, hunting and was an avid fisherman. He spent many hours fishing on Lake Texoma catching catfish, which he also cooked, to help provide the fish for the Kingston Alumni Association annual fish fry. Mr. Reese was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Elizabeth, and two brothers Emmet Vaden Reese and Kenneth Reese. He is survived by a daughter, Libbie Ann Reese of Kingston; son, Garry L. Reese of Mead; sister, Billie Shasteen of Denison; sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Backest of Denison; 8 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. He was looking forward to the birth of his great-great-granddaughter Stella Danielle Howell who is due in November. Graveside memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 31, at Kingston Cemetery in Kingston, Oklahoma.
