Bobby Wallar Current Services Bobby Gerald Wallar was born on May 12, 1942, to the late Juanita Dale and Robert Wallar in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Bobby passed from this life on December 9, 2018, in Wichita Falls, Texas at the age of 76 years, 6 months and 27 days. He grew up in Oklahoma along the Blue River and Lake Texoma. Bobby was a polio survivor, who helped blaze a path for research that resulted in a cure. His treatments all experimental were documented in medical journals. He was very fortunate to regain the ability to walk again after battling polio for 7 years and spending 2 years in an iron lung. He credits his mother for her love and dedication, working tirelessly for hours every day teaching him how to write and walk. Bobby moved to Texas to work and help support the family. On December 7, 1963, he met Carolyn Sue Teeter, married 2 months later and had 2 children. Bobby worked 25 years for Burcamp Steel Company as a foreman. In the mid, to late 80s he owned and operated a car detail shop and landscape service. By the 90s Bobby owned and operated a small car lot. Bobby was very passionate about cars and all things sports. He Loved watching the Texas Rangers, Houston Astros, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Oilers/Texans, and Oklahoma Sooners. Always the practical joker, April Fools was his favorite day of the year. Bobby loved to laugh and make others laugh. Bobby loved the Lord, he wouldnt miss watching church services every Sunday when he could no longer attend services at First Baptist Church. He was a very caring and giving person. Many people will have the honor of experiencing his selflessness because Bobby chose to be an organ donor. He was a genuine person that loved his family and friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents Juanita Dale Winkler, Robert Wallar and Albert Winkler (who raised him) Sister Carolyn Ruth Payne, Wife of 35 years Thelma Wallar and her daughter and granddaughter Charlene and Jamie Eiland. Granddaughter Jenna Chesser. He leaves behind to forever cherish his memory: Daughter: Susan (Benjamin) Hutchinson Son: Marty (Joveda) Wallar Son-in-law: Roy(Linda) Eiland Grandchildren: Mason Wallar Bobby Ryan Samaniego Kyndal Samaniego Garrett Hutchinson Ashlyn Chesser Jimmy Eiland Jason Eiland Great Granddaughter: Kira Wallar Brothers: Billy Wallar Albert (Dian) Winkler Sisters: Linda Bell Sharon (Lonnie) Catlett Cheryl (Wayne) Bishop Phyllis (Jimmy) Goucher Bobby also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services to honor his life will be held on Saturday, December 15 at 2 pm in The Minnie Hartwell Memorial Chapel at Tishomingo Funeral Home with Reverend Roger Hartwell officiating. Interment will follow in the Tishomingo Cemetery under the direction of Tishomingo Funeral Home. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday from 12 pm - 2 pm at the funeral home.
