Listen to Obituary

Brenda Lenard, a cherished homemaker and loving soul, was born on May 17,1967, in Whitewright, Texas, and passed away on January 10, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Brenda was 58 years old at the time of her passing, leaving behind an everlasting imprint on the hearts of all who knew her.

Brenda's life was rich with love and laughter. Known for her fun-loving personality, she approached life with an easy-going spirit and a constant smile that brightened even the cloudiest days. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Mike Lenard, residing in Ravia, Oklahoma, and a proud mother to her daughter, Amy Dawn Farmer of Mill Creek, Oklahoma, and her son, James Michael Lenard, also of Ravia. Brenda’s pride in being a wife and mother was among her sincerest treasures, and every moment spent with her family was a gift that she cherished deeply.

Brenda truly loved everyone she encountered. Her warm heart was especially evident in her fondness for spending time outdoors—fishing with Mike brought her immense joy, creating memories that will forever be held dear by her loved ones. Her innate ability to love and connect with others created bonds that many admired, as she embraced life openly and without reservation.

In addition to her immediate family, Brenda is survived by her beloved sisters, Mary Pettygrew and husband Ronnie Steudeman of Clayton, Oklahoma, as well as Patricia Gibson, also of Clayton. Her legacy continues through her many nieces, nephews, and extended family, who will carry forward the essence of her kindness and warmth in their own lives.

Brenda was predeceased by her parents, Billy and Clara McLean, as well as three brothers and two sisters, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms.

Her life will be celebrated with a Visitation at Hartwell Funeral Home in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, on January 15, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service on January 16, 2026, at the Church of the Nazarene in Tishomingo, beginning at 2:00 PM and concluding at 4:00 PM.

Though Brenda Lenard has departed from this world, her light remains vibrant in the memories of those she loved and who loved her. She leaves behind a legacy of affection, laughter, and the spaces she filled with incredible warmth. In our remembrance, we celebrate the joy she brought into our lives and the everlasting love she cultivated with each heartfelt moment shared.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Pettygrew, Aaron McLean, Tim Grundy, Mike Lenard, Levi Smith and James Lenard.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jay Lane, Neal Garrett, Clayton Arles, Mike Doyle and John Marshall

Psalms 23: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Hartwell Funeral Home for their assistance during this difficult time.
