Diana Powell

Diana Powell of Mannsville was born on July 12, 1950 in Redding, California to John C. Powell and Marion Hill Powell. She went home to be with the Lord at her home on Thursday, January 8, 2014 at the age of 64 years. Diana was a motivational speaker and touched many peoples lives with her encouraging words. Diana also enjoyed doing outdoor activities such as hiking and kayaking. Diana moved to Mannsville from Redding, California where she became affiliated with the First Baptist Church in Mannsville and later became a member where she was a very faithful member. Diana leaves behind two daughters, Nikilyn Grimsley & husband Joshua Grimsley of Gordon, VA and Noel A. Hicks of Charlottesville, VA; five grandchildren Bridget & Malekye Hicks, Jordan, Jeremiah and Jaret Grimsley; a brother Dale Powell and wife Cindy of Knoxville, TN; three nieces Lisa Jacobson, Laura Reece and Leslie Cobb, and much beloved dog Peaches. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday January 13 at 10 am at the First Baptist Church in Mannsville.
