Elishia Gale Brown

July 3, 1952 — June 13, 2025

Elishia Gale Brown (Copeland) of Fredrick Oklahoma, age 72, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on July 3, 1952, in Fox, Oklahoma, she lived a life marked by devotion to her family and the quiet joys of home.

Elishia was the cherished daughter of Fate C. and Audie Copeland, both of whom preceded her in death. She was a loving wife to Jack Brown and a devoted mother to her son Donald Sweeden wife Chelsea  and daughter Dayla McKinney. Her nurturing spirit extended across generations as she embraced her role as a beloved grandmother to Brannon Sweeden, Mackenzy Sweeden, Haylee Wood, Travis Phillips, Cody Phillips, Cheyenne McKinney, and Jacob McKinney. She was also blessed with 14 great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.

She shared deep bonds with her siblings: brothers Tom Copeland, Benny Copeland, and Manuel Copeland; and sisters Judy Kidd, Glenda Peevey, and Janet Duncan. Her family remembers her as a wonderful mom, a caring wife, and a treasured presence in their lives.

Elisha was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jackie Brown; her parents; her brother Jimmy Copeland; and Sisters Norma "Faye" Copeland , Wanda Dugan and Loyce Zerr and other dear family members whose memories she carried with her throughout her life.

Elishia had a passion for creating beauty with her hands. She loved to crochet and quilt—crafts that allowed her to express love through every stitch. Her handmade creations became cherished heirlooms for those fortunate enough to receive them.

Her life will be honored at a memorial service held at Rock Harbor church in Ravia, Oklahoma. Date and time TBD.

Elishia’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. May her legacy bring comfort and peace to those she leaves behind.
