Herbert Euel Davis

Herbert Davis Current Services Herbert Euel Davis was born May 11, 1946 in Bakersfield, California to the late Paul and Willa Davis. Mr. Davis passed from this life on July 31, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 72. Mr. Davis came to Tishomingo from Oregon and has lived here most of his life. He married Darlene Briscoe on April 2, 1982 at the Johnston County Courthouse. Mr. Davis served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. He enjoyed fishing and being with family. He had a bird farm and worked with pheasants. He had a good spirt and attended the Bullard Chapel Baptist Church. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Lisa Davis, sisters, Mary, Ruby and Geneva, and brother Cecil Davis. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Darlene, of the home; son, Joshua Scott Stewart of Tishomingo; daughters, Diane Davis and Melissa Gulledge of Tishomingo; grandchildren, Micheala Grant, Risa Grant, Logan Branch, Landon Branch, Melissa Stewart, and Paige Stewart all of Tishomingo and Emily Stewart of Virginia; and his beloved dog, Spartan. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Sunday, August 5, at Tishomingo Funeral Home. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 6, in the First Baptist Church in Milburn, Oklahoma with Pastor Ron Armitage officiating. He will be laid to rest in Condon Grove Cemetery in Milburn with Josh Stewart, Logan Branch, Landon Branch, Brady Briscoe, Danion Stowes and Dakota Hanks serving as pallbearers.
