James David Castoe Jr.

James Castoe Jr. Current Services James David "Jim" Castoe Jr. of Connerville passed away on Friday July 20, 2018 at Mercy Hospital Tishomingo at the age of 65 years, 1 month, and 2 days. Jim was born on June 18, 1953 in Sterling, Kansas to the late James Castoe Sr. and Charlotte Ann Langwell. Jim was raised in Sterling, Kansas and later moved to Byng, Oklahoma where he attended and graduated high school. After high school Jim attended technical school in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Jim enlisted in the United States Army where he served his country faithfully until he received a honorable discharge. Jim worked as a sheet metal worker for most of his life. Jim enjoyed hunting, making knives, Jim was very active and enjoyed doing different jobs around the house. Jim was affiliated with the Connerville First Baptist Church where he and his wife attended. Jim is survived by: Wife: Debbie (Burks) Castoe of the home Mother-in-Law: Beatrice Unsell of Ada, Oklahoma Step Brother: Michael Castoe of Shawnee, Oklahoma Jim is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends. Jim was preceded in death by both of his parents and one sister, Audrey Delozier. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Funeral services to honor his life will be held on Tuesday July 24, 2018 at 1 PM in the Minnie Hartwell Memorial Chapel with Reverend Roger Hartwell officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Chickasaw Nation Honor Guard. Services are under the direction of Tishomingo Funeral Home.
