Johnnie Ray Sears

Johnnie Ray Sears of Ardmore passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Mercy Hospital at the

age of 55 years, 11 months, and 7 days.

Memorial Services are Saturday, September 26th from 2:00 to

4:00 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene located at 621 Cottonwood, Ardmore, OK 73401.

Johnnie Ray was born to Barnett and Vallie (Camp) "Sears" Cecil on October 12, 1959 in Ardmore, OK.

He was raised in the Ardmore area and had attended Wapanucka School for a short time. Johnnie

married Penny Burdick in Ardmore on December 26th, 1979 . He went to work as a industrial painter and

was employed at Jett Services of Lone Grove for many years.

Johnnie was of the Pentecostal Faith and he enjoyed playing video games with the kids, NASCAR, and

grilling. After a hard days work he enjoyed going home and relaxing and you could find him sleeping in

the recliner.

Johnnie is survived by his wife Penny of the home, his sons and their spouses: Jason and Lauren Sears,

Matt and Courtney Sears; his daughter and her spouse: Suzanne Sears and Justin Cook all of Ardmore.

His brothers: Lonnie and Pearlene Sears of Ardmore, Jackie and Arlene Sears of Cleburne, TX, Keith Sears

and his partner Bill Lish of Dallas, TX, Leo and Margaret Sears of Wilson, OK and a stepbrother Dale Cecil

of Frankston, TX. His sisters and their spouses Melba Irwin of Kingston, OK, Linda and Kevin Cryer of

Kingston, OK, Peggy and Ron Reeder of Ardmore, OK, Beverly and Danny Doggett of Joshua, TX and

Lorene Howard of Marietta, OK.
