Julia “Elaine” Rasor entered the Gates of Heaven on May 23rd 2025 in McKinney, TX at the age of 78.
Funeral service will be held at Church of the Nazarene 400 S Muldrow St., Tishomingo, OK 73460 on Tuesday May 27th at 2:00 pm with Minister Steve Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Ardmore, OK. Visitation will be held at the church on the 27th prior to the service. Hartwell Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements.
Elaine was born in Mead, OK to William Thomas and Edith Marie (Roberts) Goggans on December 28th, 1946. Elaine dedicated her life to her family. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and Meme. She attended high school at Durant and graduated in 1965. She later went on to earn a Masters of Education and Masters in Business/Finance from Southeastern Oklahoma University. She worked in banking for First National Bank for many years. Later she went on to become a high school teacher of Family and Consumer Science at Tishomingo High School from which she retired. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking, but most of all she treasured and loved visiting with all of her family and friends. She was a loyal and devoted member and also served on the board at the Church of the Nazarene in Tishomingo OK.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings, father William Thomas Goggans, mother Edith Marie “Roberts” Goggans, husband Marion Elton Rasor, sister Ruby Goggans, brother William Robert Goggans, sister Bertha Merle Knowles and sister Martha Marie Brown. Elaine is survived by her loving and faithful daughter, Teresa Mantzey, husband Brian, and grandsons Lane and Garrett of McKinney, TX. Brother, Verstle Roy Goggans, wife Lylus of Tushka, OK. Sister, Patricia “Darlene” Ferguson of Sand Springs, OK and numerous other family members and longtime friends especially Jan Underwood of Tushka, OK and Phillis Smith of Elk City, OK.
