Katherine Garvey Current Services Katherine Marjorie Garvey passed away on Thursday July 19, 2018 at her home in Tishomingo at the age of 86 years, 4 months, and 9 days. Katherine was born in Rome, New York on March 10, 1932 to the late Clarence Salisbury and Marjorie (Odell) Salisbury. Katherine was raised in Rome, New York where she attended and graduated high school. Katherine married John Garvey, he preceded her in death on April 09, 2012. In 2016 Katherine moved to Tishomingo where she lived the remainder of her life. Katherine enjoyed cooking, gardening, and visiting historical sites. She had a love for Elvis Presley and when she was young she enjoyed dancing. Katherine also had a passion for her grandchildren whom she spoiled a lot. Katherine is survived by: Son: William Choate and wife Karen of Virginia Daughters: Terry Ochoa and husband Albert of Texas Linda Garvey and husband Dan of Tishomingo Katherine Bencomo of California JoAnn Choate of California Brother: Bobby Salisbury of Tennessee Sister: Shirley Brandford and husband Roger of Tennessee Katherine also leaves behind 14 wonderful grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Katherine was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband John Garvey and 3 sisters. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
