Kathleen Tores Roczey, born on March 29, 1949, in Santa Barbara, California, passed away peacefully at home in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. She was 75 years old.
Kathleen was the beloved wife of Donald Ray Roczey, with whom she shared 30 years of marriage. The couple wed in 1993 in Santa Barbara before making their home in Tishomingo in 2013. Kathleens daughters are Lana Lara and Lydia Uribe, both of Santa Barbara, California. She also a Godmother to Antonio Almanza who she loved as her own. She was also a cherished grandmother to five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a loving sister to Caroline, Nancy, Lorrine, and Theresa. She is preceded in death by her parents, Vidal and Argene Torres, as well as her sister Joanne.
Kathleen found joy and purpose in her spiritual life and community. She was known for her creativity and skill in crocheting beautiful Indian dolls and dreamcatchers. Her artistry reflected her connection to her Chickasaw heritage, which she honored through volunteer work that touched many lives.
Kathleens extended family included numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who will remember her. Her legacy was tough and straight forward.
