Kayla Dolores Edington

February 14, 1966 — January 4, 2022

Kayla Edington Current Services Kayla Dolores (Marshall) Edington passed from this life on January 4, 2022 surrounded by family. Kayla was born February 14, 1966 in Fort Worth, Tx. to Kenneth Marshall and the late Roxie (Knowles) Marshall. She attended and graduated from Northwest High School in Roanoke, Tx. Kayla was one of a kind. She was definitely a Jesus lover and a Bible believer and had spent time in Guatemala spreading the gospel. She attended Compassion Church in Sulphur, Ok. Kayla loved her kids, grandkids, and her husband, Edward and possibly in that order. She enjoyed raising goats and might even be known as the 'crazy goat lady.' Kayla could be described as a loyal, friendly person with a lot of friends. She accepted everyone as they were without judgement. She was always ready to help and willing to give. Although Kayla didn't work outside of the home, she worked hard raising her children, her goats, and taking care of her family. Kayla met Edward early in life and they grew up together. As they grew up, they each went their separate ways. Fortunately, they found each other again in 1986 and were married four months later on July 19, 1986 and remained together until Kayla's death. They had a strong bond that lasted 35 years and four children were born from this union. In 2015, the couple moved to Oklahoma where they lived in Sulphur and later in Mill Creek. Kayla was preceded in death by her mother, Roxie (Knowles) Marshall. She leaves to forever cherish her memory, husband, Edward Edington of the home; sons, Allen Kyle Edington and wife, Emily of Odessa, Tx., Adam Cooper Edington and wife, Laramie of Canyon, Tx; daughters, Kolbey Jarvis and husband, Jimmie of Hennepin, Ok., Camey Edington of Mill Creek, Ok; brother, Kenny Marshall and wife Sharon of Poteau, Ok; grandchildren, Saige Faith, Azel Joy, Indigo Noel, and Hollidae Luella. A celebration of life for Kayla will be held by family and friends. Arrangements and cremation services are under the direction and care of Hartwell Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made to hartwellfuneralhome.com
