Keith Edward Chawgo, 60, London, England.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Keith E. Chawgo. Keith, a beloved brother, son, friend, and mentor, left us on March 13, 2025, at the age of 60 from a fatal car accident in Oklahoma. He was known for his warm heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering loyalty. Keith's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was a true light in the lives of his family and friends.

Keith was born on January 8, 1965, in Watertown, New York, son of the late Bonnie J. (Grant) McWayne and the late George Chawgo. He attended Immaculate Heart Central in Watertown, NY. After College, he moved to London, England where he lived for over 40 years and received two PhDs in Psychiatry and Journalism. He worked for a leading government agency and for the leading teaching hospital in Hampstead, North London He managed and ran the Media Bitch Literary Agency representing novelist, graphic artists, screenwriters and novelist. Of his many talents and work ethic, he contractually wrote dialogue for computer games, edited horror films, and television scripts. After retiring, Keith recently returned to the states to spend time with his family and friends for the past year before planning to return to London, England.

Keith is survived by his sisters and brothers, Kelly (Gary) Ritter, Watertown, NY, Kimberly Chawgo, Frisco, Texas, Mark McWayne, Brownville, NY, Glenn (Sarah) McWayne, Henderson, NY, Chad McWayne, Watertown, NY and by his step-parents Merle P. McWayne, Watertown, NY and Betty Chawgo, Fulton, NY; he is also survived by his cat, Boo; his uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, and a great-nephew who will carry his memory forever. No public service will be held at this time and a celebration -of-life gathering for close friends and family will be held at a future date. Donations in memory of Keith can be made to any cause that holds special meaning to you.

Keith’s spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
