Laura Irene Hamilton

Laura Irene “Sissy” Norris Hamilton, 75, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Born on May 18,1949, in Folsom, Oklahoma to John and Edith (Goza) Reinhart. Laura was a lifetime resident of Johnston County and graduated from Tishomingo High School in 1967.

She married the love of her life, Jackie Hamilton III on August 24, 1967, in Milburn, Oklahoma and they had 56 blessed years and together they had two daughters. She is survived by daughters Liz McDonald and Trina Castonguay both of Tishomingo, Oklahoma; granddaughters Ashley McDonald and Fiancé Gerard Easiley of Oklahoma City and Haley Cook of Ravia, Oklahoma; great-granddaughter Navi Easiley of Oklahoma City. Her brothers Gene (Betty) Cripps of Brenham, Texas, Larry Cripps of Milburn, Oklahoma, and Johnny Reinhart of Tishomingo, Oklahoma; sister Brenda (Robert) Birdsong of Noble, Oklahoma; brother-in-law Mike (Myrna) Hamilton of Kingston, Oklahoma.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Jackie, infant daughter Cynthia Ann, parents John and Edith; brothers Harvey Norris and Dale Norris; sisters Sue McCracken and Betty Gail Reindel.

Laura will be remembered for her faith in God, her kindness, love of family and friends. She was an excellent cook and baker and those close to her remember her “Sissy burgers” every Saturday, homemade biscuits and gravy, hash browns, hamburger steaks, and pecan pie.

Services will held Monday April 14, 2025 at 2:00 pm at The Rock Harbor Church in Ravia, Oklahoma, officiated by Pastor John Smith.
