Lucy Dell Edwards

Lucy Dell Edwards, a beloved figure in her community, peacefully passed away on October 18, 2025, at Elmbrook Nursing Home in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Born on December 26, 1941, Lucy lived a life rich in love, family, and devoted service to others.

As the owner of Mom and Pop's store on Lake Murray, Lucy became a cherished member of the community, where her warm spirit and welcoming demeanor made everyone feel special. Throughout her life, she was also known for her long-standing dedication to teaching Sunday School at Enville Community Church, instilling faith and values in countless children over the years.

Lucy will be remembered lovingly for her exceptional cooking that touched the hearts of many. Her homemade cream pies and orange balls were not just desserts; they were expressions of her nurturing nature that brought joy to family and friends alike. Described as "the salt of the earth," Lucy’s Christian values and compassionate personality endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Beyond her culinary talents, Lucy had a profound love for the outdoors. She enjoyed fishing and hunting, and her passion for gardening was evident in her beautiful home. She also delighted in making canned jelly, sharing her creations with friends and family.

Lucy’s proudest accomplishments were her children: her daughter Nita Brosh and her husband Lyndol, her son Tony Edwards and his wife Theresa, and her daughter-in-law Margett Edwards. She leaves behind a lasting legacy through her six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren, along with her brother, Rex Jones, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lucy joins her beloved parents, Sydney and Pearl Jones, and her sons, Roger Edwards and Sonny Edwards, in eternal rest. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
