Obituary

Mark Ernest Parker, a cherished son, devoted brother, loving fiancé, and steadfast friend, left this world too soon on March 7, 2026, at the age of 46. Born on February 14, 1980, he embodied the spirit and warmth reminiscent of the love that the day of his birth promised. Mark’s life was cherished by many, and his presence created ripples of laughter and kindness that shall echo through their hearts forever.

As a roofer by trade, Mark dedicated years of his career to Oklahoma Steel and Wire. and built strong relationships with those around him. He currently worked for CM truck beds in Kingston. His boss, Kristie Wise, appreciated his unwavering dedication, and both colleagues and clients could rely on his hands to craft safe havens above their heads.

Mark was more than just a man known for his work; he was a paragon of family values and faith. He held a profound love for God, which radiated through every facet of his life. His ability to lighten the mood and bring smiles to others was a gift he shared generously. Those who knew him found solace in his reliability and comfort in his laughter, traits that set him apart in a world that often feels heavy.

He found joy in the simple pleasures of life: fishing on sun-dappled lakes, his faithful dog Diesel by his side, and creating memories with his beloved fiancé, Melissa Tweedy of Madill. The pair enjoyed an unwavering bond, and it was in shared moments—glistening with laughter and warmth—that they solidified their love, dreaming of their future together.

Mark prided himself on his accomplishments, none more meaningful than his sobriety, a testament to his inner strength and determination. Above all, being a father to his daughter Heavenly Meeks, and a stepfather to Katilynn and Coty Tweedy brought him unparalleled joy. His heart swelled with pride for his children and grandchildren, Brier and Larmie Tweedy, who were the light of his life. He also delighted in watching his nephews and nieces—Riley, Raylee, Jaelynn, Jacob, and Kaleb —grow, nurturing their hopes and dreams with love and encouragement.

A cherished member of a large family, Mark is survived by his fiancé, Melissa Tweedy, of Madill; sisters Melissa Tarrer of Kingston, Lavanda Marx of Mead, Bryanna Dorman of Mead, and Amanda Reece, alongside her husband, Kevin, of Guthrie; and his brother, Timothy Parker, of Guthrie. In addition to his step-sister Athena Johnson of Mead, and step-brother Jimmy Johnson and Jeni of Calera, he leaves behind a family that extends to every corner of his life—a family filled with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a loyal circle of friends.

Mark now rests peacefully, alongside his parents, Paul Parker and Debra Priess, who had long awaited his arrival in their heavenly embrace.

For all who gathered in his life, Mark's spirit will forever be close, bonded through stories of shared laughter and the profound impact he made. A graveside service will be held on March 16, 2026, at Ravia Cemetery in Ravia, Oklahoma, where friends and family may gather to celebrate the luminescent legacy of Mark Ernest Parker—a man whose love for life and others will remain a guiding star in their hearts.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Hartwell Funeral Home for their assistance during this difficult time.
