Nelda Kay Ogle was born on August 16, 1959 in Brownsfield, TX to Joey and Billie (Cross) Johnson. Nelda unexpectedly passed from this life on November 29, 2024 at her home in Coleman, OK.
With her father working for Haliburton, most of Neldas childhood was spent living abroad. From the years 1972 to 1975 Nelda attended the American School of The Hague. While there Nelda was known to be admired and respected by her peers and a force to be reckoned with on the basketball court. Nelda had many fond memories of living in the countries of Libya, Singapore, New Zealand, Holland and England before moving back to the United States, finally settling down in Alex, OK attending Alex High School her Junior and Senior years, graduating with the Class of 1978.
After High School Nelda married Rod Graham and from that union was blessed with three children Natasha, Lindsey and Rodney. Nelda loved being a homemaker and mother, often volunteering at her children's school and teaching bible school classes. Nelda was known for her home-made treats whether it was a yummy dessert or a hand painted craft. Detail never lacked in any project Nelda was involved in and nothing was ever "store bought".
As her children got older Nelda began working at the Michelin Tire Plant in Ardmore, OK where she was known for her dedication and hard work. There she met her husband Charles Ogle and they were married in 2015. Nelda retired from Michelin in 2019 to enjoy the finer things in life, chasing her grandchildren. In her leisure time she found joy in baking, growing flowers and gardening, fishing, hunting, traveling and soaking up as much sun as possible. However, nothing brought Nelda as much joy as attending every sporting event, dance recital, birthday party and sleepover of her grandchildrens that she could manage to squeeze in, often attending several events on different sides of the state in the same day.
Preceding Nelda in death are her parents Joey Jr and Billie Johnson, Paternal Grandparents Joey Sr and Lillie Johnson, Maternal Grandparents John David and Bessie Cross and brother John David Johnson.
Nelda is survived by her husband Charles Ogle, daughter Natasha and husband Billy Garrison of Lone Grove, daughter Lindsey and husband Daniel Ball of Rush Springs, son Rodney Graham and wife Hannah of Ardmore, bonus children Jeffrey Ogle of Mannsville, Jennifer Bond and husband Harrison of Mannsville and Amy Culbreath and husband Jason of Caney.
