Norma Jean Box

Norma Jean Box of Dickson was born on May 24, 1942 in Glendale, Arizona to Alvin Joe Helms and Helen Denney Helms. Norma passed away at her home in Dickson surrounded by family and was welcomed into Heaven by her Heavenly Father and her beloved husband of 53 years on Tuesday September 29, 2015 at the age of 73. After growing up in Ardmore, Norma moved to Grand Prairie, Tx. They raised their children there and then moved to Dickson, OK in 1991. Norma married Norris Hugh Box on August 7, 1961 in Texas. He preceded her death on January 19, 2015. Norma worked in the Customer Service industry for most of her life such as convenience stores, and dry cleaners. Norma enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, she loved to travel as well. Most of all she loved her husband, you didnt see one without the other. They are together today in Heaven. Norma is survived by: Sons:Michael and wife Susie Box of Arlington, Texas Norris and wife Rita Box of Ardmore, Oklahoma Daughters: Marcella Box of Arlington, Texas Lynett Pirtle and husband Keith of Grand Prairie, Texas Deborah Box of Dickson, Oklahoma Tina Box of Grand Prairie, Texas Her Sister and Best Friend: Betty Bailey of Ardmore, Oklahoma Norma is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. The family would like to express their gratitude to Cross Timbers Hospice for their wonderful care and support that they showed them during their time of need. Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 2pm in the McMillian Cemetery in Marshall County with Dr. Walt Spradling and Chaplain Matt Benedick officiating.
