Orville Box Current Services Orville Eddie Box passed from this life Thursday, July 26, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Tishomingo at the age of 74 years, 3 months, and 1 day. Orville was born April 25, 1944, in Ravia, Oklahoma to the late William Eddie Box and Lucy Annie 'Durrett' Box. He married Helen Irene Neal on October 3, 1963, in Reno NV. They made their home in Freemont, California where Orville was employed with General Motors for five years. He then moved to Ravia where he was self-employed as an auto mechanic. Orville later worked for Rusk Concrete pouring cement for the Uniroyal plant in Ardmore, Oklahoma and later employed there. He retired from Michelin on February 24, 2001, after 30 years of employment. After retiring, Orville enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandkids and later great-grandkids. Orville was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, 3 brothers, and 3 granddaughters. Orville is survived by: Wife: Helen Box of the home Sons: Orville Box Jr. of Oklahoma City, Okla Bill Box and wife, Pamela of Regan, Okla Bobby Box of Ravia, Okla, and Jamie Wilson of Sulphur, Okla Kirt Box and wife, Clara of Tishomingo, Okla He also leaves behind to cherish his memory: 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services to honor Orville's life will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at 1 pm at the First Assembly of God Church in Tishomingo with Reverend Cordell Hines officiating. Interment will follow in the Ravia Cemetery with Shane Box, Billy Bob Box, Randy McCollom, Brandon Maggia, Barry Maggia, and Sam Holt serving as pallbearers.
