Phillip Capshaw Current Services Phillip Henry Capshaw, 75, passed away on August 5, 2024, in Tushka, Oklahoma. Born on March 12, 1949, in Vallejo, California, he had been a proud resident of Oklahoma since the age of 12. Phillip served honorably in the Army as a Private First Class, a testament to his dedication and resilience. Following his military service, he embarked on a career as a lineman, working diligently on the powerlines, a role that showcased his strength and commitment to hard work. Beyond his professional life, Phillip was passionate about the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisher, and trapper, activities that reflected his deep connection with nature. In his leisure time, Phillip dedicated himself to raising and caring for chickens, and he participated in chicken fighting during the periods it was legal. Phillip leaves behind a loving family, including his son Agustus Capshaw of Tushka, Oklahoma and daughter Emily Capshaw of Lehigh, Oklahoma. He was a cherished grandfather to Jackson Capshaw, Max Walker, and Newt Capshaw. His legacy will also be remembered by his extended family and friends. Phillip was preceded in death by his son Aaron Capshaw and his siblings. A memorial service to honor Phillip's life will be held on Friday, August 16th at 11 am at the Tushka Cemetery. His life, marked by service, work ethic, and love for his family and nature, will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
