Reba Faye Johnson

Reba Faye Johnson, passed away on April 20, 2025, in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, at the age of 66. Born on February 17, 1959, in Roswell, New Mexico, Reba lived a life marked by dedication to her family, her work, and the simple joys that brought her happiness.

Reba enjoyed spending a part her life to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her career in nursing reflected her deep commitment to service and compassion. Through her work, she touched countless lives with kindness and professionalism.

Family was at the heart of Reba’s world. She is lovingly remembered by her sister Jo Ann Wellman; brothers Tommy Mathews, Dewayne Mathews, and Charles Smith; and grandsons Travis Frates, Ethan Frates, and Preston Frates. Her presence will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her mother Ida Faye Backus; father Thomas Mathews; brother Glen Mathews; son Roy L. Johnson Jr.; daughter Gillie J. Diedrich; and her grandparents.

Reba found joy in spending time with family and friends. She especially cherished girls’ nights out and treasured every moment with her grandsons. A talented cook, she often brought people together around the table with meals made from the heart. One of her families favorite memory was swimming as a young girl with her brother and sister—a reflection of the close bonds she held dear throughout her life.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hartwell Funeral Home, located at 320 West Main St., Tishomingo, Oklahoma. A funeral service will follow on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Mannsville Cemetery.

May Reba’s memory bring comfort to all who knew her and may she rest in peace surrounded by love everlasting.
