In loving memory of Ronnie Lee Stewart, who graced this world from March 6, 1953, until his peaceful passing at home in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, on August 25, 2025. Born in Rockwall, Texas, Ronnie was a man whose life was woven together with hard work and an unshakeable spirit.
Ronnie dedicated over half a century to his craft as a tile setter, where his extraordinary skills earned him the cherished title of the best. He approached each project with the same care and attention that he invested in his relationships, being a devoted husband to Patricia Stewart, with whom he shared a remarkable 53-year marriage journey. Together, they built a loving family that expanded to include children, Michael Stewart and his wife, Denise, from Mill Creek, Oklahoma; Patricia Wilson; Sherrie Stewart; and Amenda Stewart of Tishomingo, all of whom cherished their father immensely.
As a loving father and husband, Ronnie wore many hats, none more significant than his role as a family man. His laughter echoed in the homes of his loved ones, often accompanied by stories of his fishing adventures, where he took great pride in bragging about the “big fish” he caught, as if those tales were as important as the tiles he expertly laid. His passion extended beyond fishing; he was an enthusiast for storage auctions and took joy in the company of his beloved pets, affectionately known as his "fur babies,” Bear and Yuki.
Ronnie's life was marked by service and camaraderie as he proudly served as an E-3 Seaman in the Navy. His military experience contributed to the fabric of his character: disciplined, yet warm and inviting—a testament to the contrasts that made him whole.
The bonds of friendship he forged were steadfast, with dear friends Robert West and wife Joyce from Blue Ridge, Texas, and James Mathews and wife Kim from Tishomingo, Oklahoma, standing as a testament to his enduring impact on those around him. He was the proud grandparent to eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, who will forever celebrate the joyous legacy he leaves behind.
Although Ronnie has been reunited with his parents and two sisters who passed before him, his spirit endures in the hearts of those who loved him. His journey was not just about tiles or fish; it was a celebration of life—a bright example of commitment, joy, and adventure.
