Shelby Nelson Current Services Shelby 'Scoob' Todd Nelson passed from this life at his home in Tishomingo on Friday, April 05, 2019 at the age of 44 years, 7 months, and 29 days. Shelby was born on August 06, 1974 in Amarillo, TX to Patricia (Sawyer) Pennington and the late Dorse Pennington. Shelby attended Ravia Elementary School where he graduated from the 8th grade in 1989 and then he went on to graduate from Tishomingo High School in 1993. Shelby then went on to Murray State College where he received his associate's degree. Some of the many hobbies that Shelby enjoyed were skateboarding with his friends at an area that Shelby and his friends built and named the 'Hole in the Wall' Shelby was a collector of odd things and antiques. Shelby also enjoyed playing golf. Shelby was of the Christian faith and was a member of the M.A.D. Ministries in Tishomingo. Shelby leaves behind to cherish his memory: Mother: Patricia Pennington Daughter: Indigo Stopp Brother: Piper Pennington Shelby also leaves behind 3 aunts, numerous cousins and a host of other friends and family. Shelby was preceded in death by: Father: Dorse Pennington Grandpa: Sawyer Memorial Services to honor Shelby's life will be held on Saturday, April 13 at 6 pm at the M.A.D. Ministries with Bro. Jim Branch officiating.
