Sonya Wilbourn Current Services Sonya Renee Wilbourn, 56, of Davis, Oklahoma, passed away on June 17, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born in Arlington, Texas, and had a life long career at Buford Manor Nursing Home in Davis, Oklahoma. Sonya was dedicated to her job of many years and continued working until her health declined. Sonya was a kind and loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her grandkids. She will be remembered for her warmth and dedication to her family. She is survived by her husband, George Wilbourn; mother, Francine Norman; daughters, Sierra Woodruff and husband Bradley of Davis, and Destiny Sumrall and husband Justin of Ringling; son, Darren Sheets II of Davis: brothers, Duwaine Norman and wife Lisa of Elmore City, James Norman and wife Darlene of Sulphur; sisters-in-law, Joetta Niroo of Henrietta, Tonya Chadwick of Henrietta; grandchildren, Braden and Kaylie Woodruff of Davis, Justin and Gunner Ross of Ringling, Kendra Sumrall of Ringling; stepchildren, Blake Wilbourn, Jeffrey Wilbourn, Kristin Wilbourn of Sulphur; numerous step-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Johnnie Norman, and first husband, Darren Sheets. A memorial service will be held on Friday at 11 am at Davis First Baptist Church. Pallbearers: Brayden Woodruff, Justin Ross, Gunner Ross, James Norman, Devin Parnell, Darren Sheets II, Josh Christian and JJ Norman. Sonya Wilbourn will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
