Tammy Laverne Samis, born on September 18, 1966, in Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2025, in Madill, Oklahoma. She was 58 years old.
Tammy attended school in Azle, Texas, and dedicated much of her professional life as a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Veterans Affairs (VA), where she provided compassionate care to those who served. In 2002, she moved from Fort Worth to Mill Creek, Oklahoma, where she became an active member of the Mill Creek Baptist Church. Tammy was of the Baptist faith and found strength and community through her church affiliation. She loved her husband Harold Samis jr and loved going fishing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Samis Jr., and her parents, Charles Herrel and Kay Williams Herrell.
Tammy is lovingly remembered by her brothers Buddy Gray, Earl Herrell, Chuck Herrell, and Levi Herrell; her sisters Pat Gray and Denise Samis Stewart; and her nephews Nathan Samis, Aaron Wicker, Matthew 'Alex' Samis, and Steven Roman. She also leaves behind numerous other family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
Tammys life was marked by her dedication to family, faith, and service to others. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
