Terry Lee Dorer

Terry Lee Dorer, born on February 8, 1959, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2024, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He was the beloved son of the late Bobby Dorer and Jodie Melkovitz. He lived his entire life in the Mannsville and Greasy Bend area. Terry's life was a tapestry of family, passion, and dedication.

He is survived by his cherished children: Michelle Dorer of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Stephanie Dorer and spouse Tommy Brown of St. Louis, Missouri. Terry was a devoted grandfather to Destini Paij Dorer, Maverick William Gaines, Essence Dorer, Olivia Dorer, and Kanyon Dorer, and a proud great-grandfather to Legend Pressley, with two more great-grandsons expected soon.

Terry shared a close bond with his siblings, Cotton Dorer of Mannville, Oklahoma, and Bobbi 'Susie' Dorer of Tishomingo, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Perry Joe Dorer, and other dear family members, including Grandma Dollie 'Mama' Alexander, Uncle Bill Dorer, Aunt Onella Hartwell, Nephew Ethan Sliger, sister-in-law Ann Dorer, and niece Kim Behrens Laymance Cox.

In his younger years, Terry spent many days driving a truck for Blue Bonnet Feeds, a testament to his strong work ethic. He had a passion for Harleys and dirt bikes, and he found joy in hunting rocks and arrowheads. Terry also loved sewing blankets, a skill that brought warmth to many. His love for the outdoors was evident in his enjoyment of feeding cows and working alongside Virgil and the Scruggs boys.

Above all, Terry cherished his family, especially his grandchildren, and treasured every moment spent with them. His legacy of love and adventure will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
