Tracy Lynn Walker, a devoted father, cherished grandfather, and a soul whose kindness touched many lives, passed away on March 31, 2026, in Milburn, Oklahoma. Born on October 11, 1968, in Bowie, Texas, Tracy’s journey was one marked by unwavering love, selflessness, and a deep commitment to family and community.
A graduate of Milburn High School’s Class of 1988, Tracy dedicated many years of his life as a nurse's aid, providing care and compassion to those in need. From a young age, he found joy and purpose in grooming dogs, a passion he pursued since he was just twelve years old until shortly before his passing. But beyond his professions, Tracy was truly a father figure to many—having opened his heart and home to over seventy-six foster children during his lifetime. To him, family extended far beyond biology, and his grandkids were the shining center of his world.
Tracy was known as a dad to all young people without fathers—a loving presence whose home was always open. He had an immense love for feeding people, often filling his home with laughter and warmth; one memorable day saw him hosting dinner for twenty-five guests, all welcomed by his generous spirit. His hobbies were simple yet filled with profound joy: spending time camping with his grandchildren, grooming beloved pets, and taking trips to Branson. Family gatherings, especially visits to his sister Tammy’s house, were among his treasured moments.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Shannon Walker; devoted children Josh Walker and wife Staci, Sarah Walker, Chuckie Evans, and Cody Odum; and grandchildren Rigdon, Cinch, Hudson, Lincoln, Bentley, and Zyon. He is also survived by his sister Tammy Leven and husband Wayne of New Kirk, brother John Walker of Tishomingo, cousin Joy St John—his best friend and caretaker—and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends who all carry his memory in their hearts.
Tracy was predeceased by his parents, Hubert and Mary Walker; sister Donna Mae Evans; brother Granville Walker; sister Angie Margaret Eddy; father-in-law James D. Gregg; sister-in-law Fonda Lynette Gray; brother-in-law Uriah Davis; and nephew David Shores.
His proudest accomplishments were his children, grandchildren, and his faithful dog Bandit, all of whom brought him immeasurable joy and pride throughout his life.
A visitation will be held on April 2, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hartwell Funeral Home, located at 320 W Main St, Tishomingo, OK. The funeral service will follow on April 3, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Liveoak United Pentecostal Church, 4129 University Blvd, Durant, OK, with burial at Condon Grove Cemetery, Sh 78, Milburn, OK, beginning at 2:15 PM.
