William Arthur Gault

William Gault Current Services William "Bill" Arthur Gault, age 82 passed away at his home in Mannsville, Oklahoma, surrounded by family on Saturday, June 18, 2022. Bill was born January 29, 1940 in Baxer Township, St. John, North Dakota, to Paul and Rosalie Jorgensen Ingle Gault Lien. Bill finished grade school in Mylo and graduated from Bisbee High School in 1958. He attended Bottineau School of Forestry for one year before serving in the United States Army from 1959 to 1961. Bill married Marlene P. Pederson in St. John, ND on August 5, 1962. To this union were born four daughters. Bill worked in and managed grain elevators in Agate, Bisbee and Mandan. He then became a top salesman for GTA Feeds out of Hettinger, ND for several years. Bill and Marlene returned to Rolla and opened the North 40 Restaurant in the 1980s and later built the Bilmar Motel on the west end of town. Bill was blessed with a happy personality, a beautiful singing voice and the ability to enjoy life to the fullest. He was an avid fisherman and loved living at Lake Upsilon for many years. Bill and Marlene retired in Maricopa, Arizona, in 2015 where Marlene died in December of 2016. Bill then made his final home in Mannsville, OK in 2017. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Paul Jr. "Buddy", wife and a grandson, Tate Bridges. He is survived by his daughters, Tanis Gault, Amy Forster, Renee (Scott) Burris, all of Mannsville, OK; and Melissa (Kirk) Holt of Kingston, OK; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a brother Robert "Bob" (Beatrix) of Rolla, ND, a sister Dora (Gordon) Colvin of Udall, KS and his friend, Jane Creecy of Ardmore, OK. Funeral services will be at the St. John Cemetery, July 6, 2022, at 11 am, with a meal to follow at the St. John Senior Citizen Center.
