Bennie Carl Walters of Tishomingo, Oklahoma passed away November 13th, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Tishomingo. He was born November 30, 1945 in Bells, Texas to Loyd Frances Walters and Vera Lee (Price) Walters. Bennie attended and graduated from Bells High School. He spent the majority of his life in living in Texas and spent the last ten years in Johnston County.
Bennie met the love of his life, Kathy Hairell, in Garland Texas. The two of them were married and that union lasted until Kathy's death in 2019. Bennie worked most of his life as a truck driver. He drove for Belcher Trucking Company and a few others during his lifetime. He considered driving that big truck a hobbie. It wasn't like work for him since he loved it so much. Bennie received truck driver of year at his last trucking company and drove 154,000 miles that year. He was proud to earn that award. Bennie also had a deep love of fishing and enjoyed fishing at Lake Texoma. He loved his family and had a special bond with his sister, Betty. They enjoyed talking to each other and would often talk two or three times a day.
Bennie was preceded in death by both parents, his wife, and brother, Loyd Price Walters.
He is survived by a son, Cody Walters and wife, Shayna of Milburn; daughters, Shelly Smith and husband of Benbrook, Tx. and Sharla Connally of Sanger, Tx; sisters, Mary Sue Liggett and Betty Jean White; and grandchildren, Allison, Alex, TR, Taren, Taelyn, and Tyson.
