Carolyn Louise (Brown) Robertson passed away April 27th, 2023 at Medical City Plano in Plano, Texas at the age of 81 years, 8 months, and 28 days.  Lou was born July 30, 1941 in Levelland, Tx to Homer Clyde Brown and Senith Rose (Lancaster) Brown.
Carolyn was known as Lou by her friends and family.   Lou was raised in Smyer, Tx and graduated from Smyer High School.  On December 20, 1958 Lou married the love of her life, Bob Robertson in Lubbock, Tx.  From that union, three children were born, Becky, Beverly, and Steve.  Lou was a devoted wife and mother.  Bob and Lou would have been married 65 years this December.  While in Texas, she worked as a secretary at the Lubbock State School.
In September of 1988, Bob and Lou moved to Oklahoma and made Ravia their home.  Lou spent several years working at the Johnston-Marshall Baptist Association Book Store.
Lou was a faithful member of the Ravia Baptist Church until her health would no longer allow her to attend. She enjoyed working in the church and was on several church committees, and at one time held the position as the church treasurer.  She also enjoyed painting ceramics and china, crocheting, and painting pictures.  She was an excellent painter.  However, the family doesn't have many of her paintings left because Lou would always give them away for others to enjoy.  That's just the type of person she was.  When Facebook first came out, Lou enjoyed spending time on there connecting with friends and family.

She was a special lady and one of a kind.  She will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Lou was preceded in death by both parents and her brother, Buddy Brown.

She leaves behind to forever cherish her memory, husband, Bob Robertson of the home; daughters, Becky Robertson of Ravia and Beverly Hudgens and husband, Scott of Smyer, Tx; son, Steve Robertson of Tioga, Tx; grandchildren, Stefanie Morrison and husband, Justin of Smyer, Tx, Keith Hudgens and wife, Brittany of Anna, Tx, and Naomi Robertson of Tioga, Tx; great-grandchildren, Kade, Skyler, Meredith, Shelby, and Reed.

Funeral services to celebrate Lou's life will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 10 am at the Ravia Baptist Church with Bro. Roger Hartwell officiating and Bro. Gary Dempsey assisting. Interment will follow at Ravia Cemetery.  Serving as pall bearers will be Scott Hudgens, Keith Hudgens, Justin Morrison, George Herron, Ethan Ruzicka, Eric Ruzicka, and Justin Hartwell.
