Ella Louise (Easley) Smith

Graveside services celebrating and honoring the life of Ella Louise (Easley) Smith, 94, of Midwest City, Oklahoma will be Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Tishomingo Cemetery at 2 p.m. with Reverend Roger Hartwell officiating.  Ella passed from this life on Monday, February 28, 2022 at the Arbor House Assisted Living Facility in Midwest City, Oklahoma.

Ella was born April 29, 1927  in Ravia, Oklahoma to the late Jessie Jasper Easley and Anna Mae (Graham) Easley.  She lived in the Johnston County area until 1960 when she and her family moved to Midwest City.  Ella married Calvin C. Smith in 1945, a union that lasted until his death in 1980.  From this union, two daughters were born, Sherry and Carla.

Ella worked at the tag agency in Tishomingo before moving to Midwest City.  She later worked as an office manager for different trucking companies and then as a expeditor for Tinker Air Force base.  Ella was an outgoing person and made lots of friends.  She never liked being alone so friends and family were important to her.  She was definitely a people person.  Ella enjoyed dancing, traveling, arts and crafts, and oil painting.  Everyone close to her has some of oil paintings. Another thing Ella enjoyed was gambling and going to the casinos.  Anytime she traveled somewhere, she expected them to stop at a casino along the way.  

Ella was preceded in death by both parents, her husband, Calvin; brother, Jessie William Easley; great grandchildren, Calvin Maupin and Taylor Maupin.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughters, Sherry Maupin and husband, Steve of Midwest City and Carla Hill of Midwest City; grandchildren, Tony Maupin, Steven Maupin, Tami Cline, and Jesse Hill; great grandchildren, Annie Maupin, Ashlee Simek, Conner Cline, Skyler Cline, Logan Hill, Lane Hill, and Lukas Hill and a Great-great grandson, Jack due to arrive on April 2nd 2022. 

There will also be a memorial service to honor the life Ella Louise Smith on Monday, March 7, 2022 at 10 am at the First Baptist Church of Midwest City with Pastor Trey Graham officiating.
