Gregory Glenn Wright

Gregory "Greg" Glenn Wright passed away December 19, 2022 at Hillcrest Hospital South in Tulsa, OK.  Greg was born January 8, 1972 in Denver City, Tx to Jerry and Sue Wright.  When Greg was two years old he moved to Oklahoma with his family.  Greg attended and graduated from Nowata High School with the class of 1990. 

Greg was an athletic person when he was young.  He enjoyed playing all kinds of sports and loved playing golf.  Even though he had moved to Oklahoma from Texas at an early age, Greg was still an avid University of Texas fan. 

He worked as a fork lift operator for Ameristar Fence Company for 20 years until his health would no longer allow him work. Greg enjoyed being a collector of many things.  Probably his most favorite collection was his Hot Wheels collection.  He had an assortment of 600 Hot Wheels cars.  He enjoyed collecting knives and coins as well.  

Greg was funny and a great person.  He was loved by all of his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bill and Vera Wright; Maternal grandparents, Truman and Vera Durden, along with a step-grandfather, Calvin Hammons.

Greg leaves behind to forever cherish his memory, parents, Jerry and Sue Wright of Claremore, Ok; brothers, Mike Wright of Verdigris, Ok., and Kevin Wright of Locust Grove, Ok. He also leaves 3 nephews and 3 nieces that were very close to him along with a host of other family members and friends.

A  memorial graveside service will be held Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 1:30 at Condon Grove Cemetery in Milburn with Reverend Roger Hartwell officiating.  Services are under the direction and care of Hartwell Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be made at hartwellfuneralhome.com.
