Lois M Moore

Lois Marie Moore was born March13, 1933 in Ben Wheeler, Texas to Elmer Lee and Inez (Turner) Myers.  She departed this life on January 31, 2022 in Durant Oklahoma at the age of 88.  Lois Married Earnest H. Moore on June 1, 1974 and they enjoyed 47 years together.

Lois enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels outside the front window of her home.  She also spent time watching the dozens of hummingbirds that flocked to her feeders every season.  Lois had many pets, the most recent her beloved, "Pretty Girl" and her cat, "Snowflake."

Lois spent her spare time in earlier years crocheting, reading, and spending time with grandchildren when possible, and later enjoyed her numerous great grandchildren.

While raising her children, Lois worked for years as a cashier at Safeway.  After moving Oklahoma, she and Earnie ran their own store in Milburn for years.  She then later drove a truck alongside Earnie and then took the job at the Post Office until she retired.

Lois was a friend to everyone she knew and will be missed by all.

She is survived by her husband, Earnie of the home; her children, Debbie Davis of Anna, Tx, Vickie Teague and husband, Donald of Gilmer, Tx, Jennifer Carol Speight and husband, Danny of Commerce, Tx, Pamela Ann Mason and nephew, Ronnie Copeland of White Settlement, Tx, Rose Sutton, Tammy Alger, Jackie Moore and Jeff Moore, all of Chetopa, Ks, and Marty Moore of California; 30 grandchildren, 92 great grandchildren, and 24 great-great grandchildren, with 3 on the way.

She is also survived by one brother, Joe D. Myers and niece, Tara Myers of Dallas, Tx and special "daughter," Sherry Ritter, whom she loved like her own.

Lois was preceded in death by her son, Frank Goebel Jr., her daughter, Gina Moore, her parents, brothers, L.C. Kinard and James Myers and also her sister, Faye Copeland and her beloved pet, "Pretty Girl."

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2022 at Hartwell Funeral Home Chapel in Tishomingo with Bro. Frank Wallace officiating.  Interment will follow at Condon Grove Cemetery in Milburn.

Serving as pall bearers will be:  Sean Pratt, Scottie Black, Bud Slatton, Danny Speight, Donald Teague, and David Mason.  Honorary pall bearers are:  Clarence "HotShot" Pidgue, Ronnie Copeland, and Scott Rhyne.
